Forchheim: four tips for the virtual christmas party in the corona lockdown

Unwrapping presents with the family on christmas eve, visiting distant relatives and friends on christmas holidays to cheer with them under the christmas tree – all this is not possible this year because of the corona contact restrictions. From 24. To 26. December, people from one household were only allowed to meet with four other people from the “immediate family” meeting.

For many people from forchheim, an alternative way to stay in touch with their loved ones over christmas will be to meet up online. Because society is becoming more digital. 86 percent of german citizens are now on the internet, according to the digital index study conducted by the D21 initiative. And many people already have the prerequisites for a virtual christmas party at home: for a video conference, you need a computer, laptop, tablet with a camera or a smartphone – and a stable internet connection.

Bad kissingen: dogs and the saale beach

Helmut richter is furious. The 67-year-old regularly visited with his grandchildren a saalestuck in luitpoldpark near the tennis courts. A place where children can splash with their family, play in the sand or just relax. But the idyll will be shattered. Ruthless dog owners drive away rude parents, parents and children again and again.

"They let their dogs run free – even though the animals are supposed to be on a leash in the park," says diana, says richter. The kids don’t like it. "My eleven year old granddaughter does not dare to go there anymore." The fear is not unfounded. "The other day there were women with three rough dogs at the water – none of the dogs was leashed." The animals had not only barked at the bathers, but had also bitten each other.

Secret games in the bimbach castle

Secret games in the bimbach castle

Sabine krombholz’s eyes get brighter and brighter the more rooms she gets to see in her old, "second home". There, the billiard table on the upper floor, "I used to play there secretly with my friend doris laufer when her parents weren’t around". Or the memory under the roof, "wonderful, and always be careful not to get caught". The garden where the neighbor’s children used to play when the lords of the castle were not at home.

Ingenious idea

And on sunday, the day of the open monument, sabine krombholz (nee blattner from bimbach) was allowed to take an official look around the castle, under the guidance of gottfried schafer, the owner of the castle. And not only krombholz enjoys the tour through rooms that were last open to the public in 2003 for the district’s local heritage day and the 300th anniversary of the castle.

Peace and quiet soon to come to an end in geesdorf?

Peace and quiet soon to come to an end in geesdorf?

It has been unusually quiet for months in the wiesentheid suburb of geesdorf. However, the peace and quiet may be over as of july, looked ahead wiesentheid’s mayor werner knaier at the burgers’ meeting.

Then the repairs to the bridge over the B286 should be completed. Three premieres and one revival

Three premieres and one revival

The castle theater thurnau starts on saturday, 8. October, into the new season. To start with, there is the premiere of the brilliant french comedy "venice in the snow" by gilles dyrek. The audience can expect a satirical play full of surprises and twists, with a lot of wit and esprit.
Christoph and patricia have a fight. Now of all times he wants to present it to his friends. So patricia decides not to speak a word. But when the hosts misunderstand the taciturn, annoyed patricia, she sees her chance to give the evening some pep. She slips into the role of the migrant in need of help with an intentional lie and gives the meeting an irreversible twist.
The friends are thrilled, immediately activate their politically correct willingness to help, and shower the supposed war victim with charity until the situation escalates into the grotesque. A turbulent comedy in which the audience is more female than the protagonists and is thus amused by misunderstandings and confusions.
More premieres to follow on 27. November with a wilhelm-busch-evening and on 14. January with "what don quichote liked to conceal", will be added on 3. December the revival of "oskar and the lady in pink.

Porsche becomes more cautious after record results

Porsche becomes more cautious after record results

The reasons include the cost of new model series, but also economic uncertainty. Last year, porsche had made a profit of 1.84 billion euros. "2012 was the most successful year in the history of our company to date," said porsche ceo matthias muller. However, porsche will not be able to fully decouple itself from economic developments, particularly in europe. VW boss martin winterkorn warned on thursday that 2013 would be a test of endurance for the entire industry. Porsche AG has been a full member of the VW group since august 2012.

In contrast to the wolfsburg company, however, the start to the year was positive for porsche. In january and february, the sports car manufacturer delivered more than 22,500 vehicles worldwide, exceeding the previous year’s figure, said muller. However, he does not want to extrapolate this sales surge for the year as a whole. "We’re driving on sight," muller said.

Pilgrimage, holy water and truthfulness: festive service for the zeiler kappele church festival

For the parish of augsfeld, whitsun monday has become a traditional pilgrimage day for several years now. So the fub pilgrims and those who came by car celebrated together with the faithful of the PG "at the vine of jesus" and other visitors the festive service for the consecration day of the zeiler kappele. With the dipping of the easter candle into a holy water vessel, pastor michael erhart blessed it. He was pleased that the purchase was made possible by a donation. Now you can also take home holy water from the kappele.

The sermon was given by pastor michael erhart to diaconate candidate andreas hofer in the course of his training. Hofer took up the decree of pope francis, who last year decreed that whit monday as a day of remembrance "mary – mother of the church" should be committed. "Seen together with the kirchweih of our kappele, the three festivals could not be closer together", so the preacher. Based on the scripture passage in which mary learns that she will have a child through the work of the holy spirit, he spanned the arc into today’s time.

A book full of history: researchers get to the bottom of the history of the habberge district.

Summer 2002: former district administrator walter keller sits with stephan diller in habfurt's lazzarin ice cream shop on the torgraben. They speak animatedly to each other. There is one problem: the historiography of the district has many gaps in its research. Diller, who has been commissioned to write a chronicle of the town of habfurt, cannot close these gaps on his own – he needs reinforcement. So the two men decided to found an association for scientists and laymen who are to get to the bottom of local history. Two and a half years later the idea becomes reality: the historical association landkreis habberge is born.

15 years, 20 books, 13 supplements, numerous excursions, seminars, meetings and dialect days later, the first anthology is now available. He tells local history(s) on 346 pages. One of the authors, for example, addresses the question of why "the insignificant village of frickendorf has become such a magnificent bridge". Another contribution sheds light on the history of "the oldest chess pieces north of the alps" – found near zell am ebersberg.
